Getting ready for the MPRE (Model Professional Responsibility Exam) is really easy. Most law students have trouble because they don’t take the MPRE bar exam seriously. You need to pass it to become a lawyer so it would be wise to study and prepare for this bar exam while you are still in school.
It goes without saying that you should first take a Professional Responsibility course as close as possible to the MPRE Bar Exam dates. Look at the MPRE Bar Exam schedule and take your Professional Responsibility course right before one of the test dates and schedule your MPRE Bar Exam on the first date available after you have taken your law school course.
Order the MPRE Bar Exam Sample Test that is sold or get it from a student who already has a copy. You can also get a law outline from Gilberts, Study Partner, Rom Law ™ , or Emanuel. You can get flash cards from Law in a Flash or 720 Series ™ Flash Cards.
If you get a good law outline and some flash cards and you listen in class, and you get the practice exam you should have no problems passing the MPRE Bar Exam.
Taking an MPRE Bar Review Course Practically Guarantees your Success.
If you can go to an MPRE Bar Review course you will virtually guarantee your chances of passing the exam. There are any number of Bar Review companies that offer such courses however, it is not an absolute must to take such a course to pass the MPRE exam.
The most important concept you must remember when dealing with the MPRE bar exam are the following terms; could have, should have, can’t, and shouldn’t. If you understand that many of the concepts in Professional Responsibility are not bright line and that there are some things you should never do, and some things you can do but you shouldn’t do you will pass the exam. The only problem we have in recommending a Bar Review Course for the MPRE is that we never took a bar review but we got a 143 and 121 out of 150 on the exam. This was done by listening in class, getting a number of Law Outlines, and Flash Cards and knowing the could of, would of, should of analysis and also getting the practice exam when we signed up to take the MPRE bar exam.
